Step - by - Step Repair Process

Step 6: Vulcanize (Optional but Recommended for Full Thickness Cracks)
For full - thickness cracks or more critical repairs, vulcanizing the patch is highly recommended. A vulcanizing kit typically includes a heating element, pressure plates, and control devices. Follow the kit's instructions to heat and press the patch onto the belt. This process creates a strong, seamless bond that is as strong as the original belt material.
Step 7: Inspect the Repair
Once the repair is complete and the adhesive or vulcanization has fully cured, inspect the repaired area. Check for any signs of air pockets, incomplete bonding, or uneven surfaces. Make any necessary adjustments before restarting the conveyor system.
